Living in the fringes of "the rust belt" as southeast Michigan suffers through a terrible economic time does still have some nice benefits. A member of our church is part of the Red Wings organization and all the volunteers from our children's ministry plus their families were invited to a surprise yesterday afternoon promoted as a "Once in a Lifetime Opportunity." Bill and I couldn't resist finding out the surprise and so we went. The picture below shows what awaited us.
