Yes, Buenos Aires is all about Evita and Tango.. those are 2 musts..you should..
Take a tour so you can see everything.. the Recoleta area ( upscale trendy). Also,
the area for great shopping on Florida street for all kinds of leather goodies..
great jackets. GREAT prices.
See the area called La Boca.. it is very colorful and you will see excellent dancers tango-ing on
the streets..just fabulous..
If you want a free city tour the reps from
H. Stern ( the largest gemstone stores in the world)
are all over the port.. or you can set up a tour in advance. They use Mercedes mini vans and you can get a group together, about 6 people if you want.. they will show you all around.. they only want at the end to take you to their store, which is really interesting..like a gem stone museum.. you can see how all the stuff is made... and have the "opportunity" to buy something if you want too. There is no hard sell..
and the touring is free.. so worth even buying a little something.
I had mentioned this to Marcie..if you guys want me to post the reps email so you can contact him let me know.. he will set you up in advance w/ free tour..
Regarding all the tourist areas...
Just be careful there.. lots and lots of crime.
