I'm back!! So sorry for such a long "silence" I have been traveling flat out, haven't even "skulked" on this board for more than a fast minute. Well, the big red boat, my kids still talk about it. It was well lets just say exactly what we paid for. It was a Disney sort of thing as you know, before the new disney boat. It was if i remember correctly about 600 per person for a 5 night. There you have it. The rooms were literally a closet, tiny porthole, meals were something like you would see at a country buffet sort of restraunt. My boys actaully didn't mind the food, what kid wouldn't be happy with a soft serve ice cream machine. The soda's were really expensive, as were the excursions. The boat itself needed ALOT of work. Carpet, just everything. This was several years ago (like 10) but we couldn't get off fast enough. The embarkation was a nightmare. That is one of the things we like best about RSSC. In Roehn, we literally pulled up in a chauffered car (too early we thought) got out, our driver asked when we could board (it was like 12:00) and they said "how about now". Wish i could remember more about the Red boat, to tell you the truth if you had never ever cruised, and wanted to take a pack of kids or teens, it might not be too awful. Vacation time is SO precious to us, just has to be good.
