Pam, When are you going? We booked a guide through our hotel and found that she "tried" but was rather stiff. We went in winter and it was brutally cold and the artists were not around. Prague is a walking city and it really killed the effect. I would take an architecture tour as the different architecture was fascinating, a tour of the inner workings of the clock, the castle is to be seen and the countryside if you get a guide with a car. We ate in fancy restaurants for dinner, but Doug's regret is that we didn't stick to the type of places we ate lunch at in the city..just the local taverns..cheap and good. If I remember correctly,I believe your hotel is ideally located.
