Jim, as it is a back to back with Cape Town to Dubai we will use the same acronym. I added this sailing later. This trip goes to India where the PEACOCK is the National Bird so very appropriate. I will as Cindy to update her lists accordingly.

Question:

Jan and I will be on the 3-day pre-cruise in Dubai.
We always our own booze "emergency" kit with us just in case we would like to have something in our hotel room while traveling before getting on the ship.
So should we maybe think twice before packing something in our luggage when we arrive Dubai?
Anyone experience this? wonder

Jim, you are only allowed four liters so you may have to cut back on your emergency kit.

Oh that is no problem. Where Dubai is alcohol free country is what I was worried about.

Jim, I believe that’s four liters (i.e., five 750 ml bottles) per person. as you will discover, Dubai is far from alcohol free.

Since April since I asked if anyone else was joining either the 1st half or 2nd half of this back-to- back cruise. So who is joining us?

Started to fill out our excursion list last night at 6:05 pm.
Things were going well for awhile and was about 1/2 way through when things went south.
Had wrong dates, said I could not book because it conflicted with booked excursions, and what I had booked disappeared.
Sent a email to Nancy Golden and she immediately told me to send her my selection, and she would take care of it Friday morning.
1st thing this morning was the email from her with all of our choices. And she was home doing all this because the office is closed.
clap friends

Thank you Nancy!!!! thumbsup

By the way. Someone on cruise critic commented they had the same problems

Received notice of final payment coming soon from Jennifer.
Also noticed at one of our overnight stops we have the same tour booked both days. Tried to cancel one on line with no luck.
Guess we will wait until we board to take care of it. Probably won't be able to find a replacement this late.

Jim, it looks like you were using photobucket.com to store your profile picture for use as an avatar on the LCT website. I noticed that Ngaire and others also must have been using Photobucket to store their profile pictures because their profile pictures have been replaced with the message fromPhotobucket. For some reason, the URL to Photobucket is no longer valid. I don't remember but do you have your profile picture in your signature? If so, that would explain why you are seeing the message from Photobucket in your signature now.

If I'm correct, choosing a different avatar in the "edit profile" section should get rid of the Photobucket message.

Very strange, Jim. Out of curiosity, did you experiment with trying a different avatar to see if it made the Photobucket message go away?

Jim, I see that changing your avatar got rid of the Photobucket message that was showing in lieu of your profile picture. I would try something similar with respect to your signature showing the Photobucket message. Try going into your account and completely deleting your signature; then replacing it with a new signature using only text. Hopefully this will remove the Photobucket message.

Finally, although it's not an ideal solution, you can always go into preferences and choose to not display signatures.

Got a hold of Karen and she is aware of this.
Have no idea how we are going to remove it, but working on it.

Thank you Karen. Really appreciate it. Way beyond my capabilities.

Jan & I. Well I should say Jan just finished our Evisa for India .Not kidding it took about 1 1/2 hours to do. Ran out of space for countries visited past 10 years.
Also after we had completed everything and they said good job, that we should have it by 12/18/2024. WHAT? We will be in Dubai by then. Would need to download it on the ship or something. wonder

CIBT is where to go for visas. Regent uses them as well. Ken used them and it still took about the same time it took you but we got the visas in about two days. We did a five year visa. We had a ten year but it had expired.

filled out our India required form Monday, and got them back Thursday afternoon by email.
Guess we are ready to go and see if there is anything required for us to do about Sir Lanka.

Tried to fill out our Sir Lanka forms tonight.
When we got to the end it said we needed to pay $50.
Canceled everything until we get some help.
Already paid Regent so decided waiting was the smart move.
Did we miss something on the form?

Dave I sent you a message off LCT. Did you get it?
