When is everyone arriving? We have hotel, but no air yet, AA flights are 250pp each way!!! So if I'm paying that amount want to get the date right the first time LOL. We were thinking of coming Friday, but Frank wants in on the Golf if there is any, so.....not sure which day to arrive.

We're arriving the 18th and leaving the 22nd. Plan to do some serious shopping. I'll make flight plans tomorrow. I was told if your flight is early arrival the hotel will allow early check-in if notified in advance.

Suz......first time on LCT in awhile, and you gave us a laugh. We actually recall glasses of wine and mittens at the pool bar, and one of the best cruises ever. Remember the night we were all leaving and they were air lifting that poor guy out? we went and got the bottle and just watched. hugs from us too...its been too long.

Any additions or deletions for Hee Haw? It is right around the corner!!!

Joanna, when I saw on main page that you had posted to this thread I was scared to death that you and Tony had dropped out of Hee Haw.

I am so glad that the two of you will be there.

We have a lot of catching up to do. BTW, tell Tony that I heard that the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders will be practicing during our visit to Texas Stadium.

As of this minute we are "IN" - OH I will tell him he'll be thrilled!!!! Yes tons of catching up to do!

ummmm might have to let Frank know this, as we are signed up for the Stadium tour, but.....he said if the BAMA game was on during that then we wouldn't be going, but Dallas Cheerleaders???? might just change his mind. LOL.

AA is starting to drive me crazy!!! Second time they have done a schedule change from IAD that is 4 hours, well reallly what they did was cancel our flight and put us on the flight at 3:00 which doesn't get in until 6:00 on Friday.

So now we fly out of DCA at 11:00 with Tom and Mona and will arrive around 1:15. It is a pain getting to DCA though, well sort of and more expensive, but we will manage. Ugh!

They closed the Admirals Club at IAD, and we flew to Nashville from DCA a couple of weeks ago and saw one of the ladies we know from the IAD AC and she told us that AA now only has around 10 flights a day from IAD, guess they have one less now. Doesn't make sense to me, but guess it does to someone at AA.

Luckily we have made friends with a cab driver and we now just call him directly and he will take us anywhere and he gives us good service, and when we came back from Nashville, he picked us up and charged us the exact same rate coming back even though it was in rush hour. Downside is that he can't pick up at the arrivals level, so we have to go back up to departures and we call him when we are in baggage claim and he meets us, but at DCA that really isn't a big deal. Its more of a big deal when we have 3-4 pieces of luggage to shlep back up. But its nice to have someone you can rely on and know he will be there when you need him.

Anyway..........see everyone there, looking forward to it.

AA's pilots are calling in sick and writing up maintenance issues at the last minute for leverage in their contract dispute. They are cutting back their schedules to try to avoid more problems. That is probably why your flight was canceled ahead of time.

I know we still have 2 weeks to go and this will probably change several times by then but so far, looking PERFECT!

Here is a weather update, it's looking so perfect, even warmer than before and sunny!

I hope so Karen the last two weekends have been ABNORMAL - cold this last weekend and rainy the weekend before. We are getting all that ODD weather out of the way before OUR day.

Just some updates:

Ken and I will be in the bar on Friday at the Westin to around 5.00 - 5.30 pm so we can see everyone asap! Looking forward to seeing all your bright and happy faces.
We will have the welcome bags with more details for everyone. We will not be staying to join anyone for dinner as we are doing a 2013 family safari with, Jim & Pam and Ralph's family. My daughter is hosting a dinner Friday so they can all meet my family members that are on safari.

Golf tee time is 11.00 am Clay will be in touch with those playing
Dress Code: No demin and collared shirt.

Stadium tour, Hee Haw Event and Card Play
Dress code: Casual, jeans and shorts acceptable

Sunday night dinner at Stonebriar Country Club
Dress code: country club casual, slacks for men - no jeans or shorts.

We are getting excited about seeing you and everyone ! What is the possibility of you letting Mark Conroy et al know that a lot of long time Regent travelers would like some new itineraries like other six (6) star cruise lines have. They also have all inclusive packages and Regent needs to stay competitive. I know others share the same feelings. If those coming from Regent have a "heads up", maybe they can offer some information on this. Seems like Oceania is getting everything...

Rod they have been told COUNTLESS times that we want new itineraries. I sent a LONG email way prior to 2014 with suggestions for itineraries many from LCT people and some of my own thoughts.

They are going to do what they are going to do and their reasoning is something only they know for sure. They are staying competetive and as far as I can tell the most successful line right now sailing at more capacity than the other lines.

If you bring this up you will not be saying anything they have not heard before. Probably best for the most part to keep this light and social, so they have a good time too and want to support something like Hee Haw again.

FYI - the hotel offers a shuttle to The Shops at Legacy. Not as easy as walking across the street to Stonebriar Commons but still close with lots of options. We have a map and a coupon book in your bags that you will receive on arrival. This bag will also have an agenda of the event, and details on how the HEE HAW casino and prizes will work.

There are some great restaurants here also, Seasons 52 is all fresh ingredients, delicious and no plate over 500 calories, Jasper's is a Kent Rathbun restaurant he beat Bobbie Flay on Iron Chef. Both these are reasonable restaurants price wise. Unfortunately there are no coupons in the little booklet for these restaurants.

The Weather. The last three weekends have been AWFUL so odd for this time of year. This Saturday it was windy and rainy!
