Bon Voyage to all of you Penguin Pooper's :bv: laden down with things to keep you warm, camera gear and binoculars, while "keeping it under that Charter flight weight limit" - I know this is one of those "Trips of A Lifetime". While we know seamail will be limited (not by the internet but by German Keyboards!) we will be with you all in spirit waiting for those pictures and emails to arrive!

Thanks for the well wishes. We leave this afternoon--that is, if we can get to the airport(DFW). I'm looking out my window at a mess of ice--trees, roads, everything--how appropriate, I guess. The sun is out, so hopefully the ice on the roads will melt and we'll be OK getting out this afternoon. But it's really cold--brrrr!
I'm not sure what we'll be able to do regarding reporting from the ship. We have some sort of email through the ships communication system (the ship will give each of us a unique email address to use for emailing to and from the ship), but as far as I can tell, no access to the internet per se. We should be able to send an email to someone who can then post it on LCT--we'll certainly try. But first to Buenos Aires and the Tango Show---yea!!!!!

Bon Voyage everyone!!! My friends parents just returned from a similar voyage and loved it. their pictures are amazing. They were on the Corinthian which holds about 100 passengers.

Happy penguin sightings and safe adventures to our Antarctica sailors. Can't wait to read your reports (if the internet permits). Between the POOP'ers, World Cruisers and South American travelers, I'll be drinking many cups of morning coffee and getting very little done. Have a wonderful time.

Thanks for the send off! Safe travels to everyone enroute to B.A. Don & I are tossing out our summer gear as we head to the hotel today in Buenos Aires. Anxious to see all our fellow Penguin Poopers! We are at the Park Tower for 3 nights, then moving to the Four Seasons the 19th joining Ngaire & group. Can't believe this trip has finally started! :)

No internet but email so we can email in reports but Ken will not be able to post any pictures unfortunately. That will have to wait until we get home. Depending on the email capabilties and speed he may be able to send a picture to Karen who could post. We will just have to see how it all works.
