Our last port was another winner…..Tenerife, Canary Islands. This port was another first for Tom and me and we had a glorious day. Early this morning there were local singer and dancers entertaining us at the gangway. Next we took the Regent shuttle into a beautiful resort town called Puerto de la Cruz about 30 minutes away. From there we hopped on a complimentary yellow train that took us to a place called Loro Parque. This is a combination zoo/Sea World with lots of animals as well as various shows with sea lions, dolphins, Orcas, even parrots. We spent about 4 hours there then took the train back to where the shuttle dropped us off for a nice ”farewell to Spain” lunch. We really had a nice day!

Upon reboarding you could have knocked me over with a feather when who was standing in the atrium but our friend who now works in Regent Corporate office, Steph Armengol I’m sure many of you have met him as well.. He just boarded today (Christian left) and will be on for the duration. It will be so nice to catch up with him during the next days. John Barron will be boarding the Voyager on April 30th and we’re sure hoping we’ll get to see him quickly before we disembark. Lucky TAPsters as he’ll be your CD and he’s fantastic as many of you know! I’ll miss Lynsay but so happy for the “Mommy to be” and all she and John have to look forward to.

Our next stop is Ft. Lauderdale! I can't believe how quickly this entire trip has gone. Our sea days will continue as they have through out with the games I play at noon, trivia twice a day, Bingo and afternoon poker in the afternoons and again in the evening in the casino. Tom will continue with the poker games and his daily gym workouts. In between our schedule we will have to find time to pack, UGH! I’m not looking forward to that. We have some fun farewell dinners planned with friends and Jamie always does a good job of "farewell activities and events". As is always the case on such a long cruise, it’s bitter-sweet. There are definitely things I’m looking forward to when we get home, namely family and pets who we can’t wait to see and hug!. There are so many things we will miss here on the ship when we return to our “other” life. It will certainly seem ho-hum dull compared to the life we’ve been living for almost 4 months! I just realized that the next meal we eat on land will be with so many of you at our Embassy Suites breakfast. It’s fun having things in the USA to look forward to and that’s sure one of them!

I took some pictures today (too many as always)to share with you: Port Stop Tenerife, Canary Islands

It will be good to meet you at next week's b'fast. It sounds like you had a perfect trip.

Do you know who the chef will be for TAP? Is Tobias staying on?

Marcie, hope you have a wonderful and smooth crossing and a safe trip home. We know the next week will be a busy one for you, especially with all the special events Jamie usually has planned. Wish we were there with you but your great posts on LCT have made us feel as if part of us were on the cruise with you. Thanks for keeping us up to date with the 2007 WC.

It will be wonderful seeing you. We always hate when a cruise ends as it always seems too short. Does 4 months on board seem "short" to you now? Will Lynsay be with John on the cruise?

Hi Marcie,

Really enjoyed your report and pictures of Canary Islands. Looks like you and Tom had a great day.

Please say hi to Steph for Alan and me.

Hard to believe that the W.C. is coming to an end. Have relaxing sea days.

Marcie - thanks again for a wonderful "cruise along with you and Tom". Its sad to be ending, I'm sure, but then again, as you said to get home to your pets, not to mention seeing your girls and little Nicky will be very special. We just got the invitation Friday for Lucy's first birthday, can you believe that????? That means Nicky is only 5 weeks behind, so I'm sure that will be very special for you and Tom.

Will Captain Dag, Jamie and Dana be back on by CROSS?

Thanks again for a wonderful "virtual World Cruise" Marcie, I feel like I was right there with you.

Great photos, Marcie, as always. Enjoy the crossing. Then back to the "real" world. But what memories!

Marcie, it doesn't seem possible that your trip is almost over. I will miss your reading about your adventures with my morning coffee. But, FJORDS will be here before you know it. At least you don't have to wait very long for the next cruise. Happy packing.

Marcie as you were world cruising and making us all feel as if we were there beside you we were having a new addition added on to our house.

Your daily posts and pictures kept me sane in my office while all I heard in the rest of the house was front-end loaders, sledge hammers, saws and what-not!

Today is the final inspection for our new Sun Room, bathroom and gazebo. If I didn't have all the LCT sea mail to read during the past 4 months I would have been going bonkers! :lct:

Thanks much - your cruise was spectacular. Enjoy your sea days and all the last farewells!
