Marc, once you get a whiff of the penguins, you may not be quite so enthusiastic. As a substitue, I'd be glad to give you "Turdley" who was our mascot on one of the Antarctica cruises--he's a penguin, has happy feet, he poops pink jelly beans, but he doesn't smell bad. I think there's a picture of him somewhere on LCT--I think the cruise was called POP :lct:

pammy, I used to read Mr. Popper's Penguins to my 4th grade classes in the library. They loved it and I never tired of it. I won't be seeing the movie. but will keep the story in my head.

Is there any reason Regent shouldn't put Burma back on the itinerary? Hasn't the situation settled down enough to go there; especially as they are still going to Egypt?

I would love to do some more cruising with LCT, so I agree that the right place, and right price, with the right ship often compensates for the freebies with Regent. That statement applies more to us singles than the couples and the fact that I am not a drinker, but I did a 35 day cruise on HAL's Prinsendam, and never missed the perks on Regent because of the cost differential (and the service and food was comparable)

We found CC, Ngaire,and Antarctica in 2001 when we were researching a cruise for our 10th anniversary in December 2002. We had almost decided on Society Expeditions World Discoverer (now Silver Explorer) over Hanseatic just because more cabins on Queen instead of single beds. Then, we decided for a warmer weather cruise and ended up on Mariner. :D Since then, we had planned on traveling with Ngaire twice to Antarctica and moving/work got in the way both times. We are glad that we are finally going. I think I found the penguins not long after that initial 2001 research.

I think all the 2013 will be 100% single supplement initially. Pretty difficult for a single to pay that.

If you are another agencies client then you can ask them to book you when the bookings open and you can still be part of the LCT group on board for almost everything that is not a problem. Only a few functions that you could not be included without being a BK client as the ship would limit the participation to people in the official BK Group.

Well we got the email today with the "sort of"
2012 /2013 schedules.

Just thought I would let you know I have had enough requests for the New Zealand/Australia trip that I will probably also escort that cruise.
January 9 - January 24 - Auckland to Sydney on the Voyager.
I always like "going home" can never go enough times on that cruise.
Marc no idea on the pre and post hopefully some details will be on the web but often it just says something like "3 day Taj Mahal package" but no explicit details. All remains to be seen -roll on tomorrow.
My plane leaves at 2.00 pm for Canada it will be crazy morning.
