I don't know for sure, but Jan and I are thinking about making this a back - to - back cruise.
Stockholm to Lisbon looks like a really good cruise.
Anyone else interested? We really hate being on a cruise where we don't know anyone.

Book it before the prices go up again. Grab seats at a bar before 6:30 and ask for sharing tables. You'll get to meet really nice people right away, even if they aren't LCT.

I was working on my groups and getting things set up for 2025. I had forgotten what a great itinerary this cruise offers. Cruised this area many times and could not believe there were so many ports I had not been to before. Best ship has basic itineraries, the smaller ships have the best itineraries. Really looking forward to this one!!!
REINDEER is too long for a pin and I am changing a lot of names now to include something about the crew. They are so good and get really excited when a pin has something about them.
Changing a lot of names two recently
CHEERS = Cruising Happily Enjoying Excellent Regent Service
CELTIC = SCOTS - Super Crew On The Splendor.
Taylor is very good at these pin names and we having fun figuring out things for the crew.

Jan and I actually had Nancy give us a price for back to back, but decided we would rather do 3-day pre-cruise and 3-day post-cruise instead. Probably do a Viator, or Tours by local.

Sure wish Regent would list what possibly could be excursions for this cruise.!!
So far they show the bottom half, but not the top half.
Like to do my homework and be ready when they open on line.
Thought we were going to have name change on the acronym?

Here we are less than 5 hours from when we can book excursions.
And we still can not see what might be some of the tours from previous cruises, on the first 4 ports of call.
Would not surprise me that there will be a hiccup and they still won't be listed.
Sure would have been nice to be able to do our homework so we would be ready to pick the excursions.

I see excursions starting in Turku. But none for the previous days. I suppose they are new ports and the excursions haven't been put together yet.

You need to go to find a cruise. put in month and ship. click on the ports and it usually shows you what previous cruises had for excursions.
Course as of today they still don't have any on the first four ports when you go to your account.

No worries with earlier posts saying reindeer. We are renaming cruises when we start working on the paperwork for a cruise. The staff are so great and we are trying to name the pins recognizing the staff. That has been a hit so far they love it.
But we will work at on this cruise one for you next week and let you know the new name.

You can for sure count on June and I on this cruise.
We have air booked.
Going to arrive a little early so we can see more of Stockholm and get over the jet lag which impacts us more these days. Really like that BA puts up award seats on a regular basis when the schedule is released at 355 days before the fly date.

Jan, Jeff, Helen & I plan on having 2 -days in Stockholm early. Also day we debark and 1- extra day in Hamburg.
Tim & Miriam plan arrive earlier than us, but not sure their post cruise plans.

Ralph and.I are very much looking forward to this cruise and catching up with cruise friends we haven’t seen for awhile, and also enjoying new sights and sounds. Always a good experience.
Ralph, as usual did very well with air reservations using miles - I guess the “early bird catches the worm” is a true saying!
Rachel and George, it will be good to catch up and enjoy some more challenging trivia, inter alia!
Ngaire and I of course will just love resuming our scrabble - keeps the grey matter going that’s for sure!

Rachel, You may have noted we are using BA. The schedule worked well for us. We don't prefer BA but we use it a fair bit. I move Chase points to BA which most often happens instantly. BA has a policy that is fairly well known by bloggers , etc. that they release seats that can be purchased with points at 355 days before the flight date. One issue with BA is that they always charge some fee for each ticket also if you want seats assigned you need to pay for those as well. You can use points for the seats in lieu of cash. When you are doing your own air for a cruise you usually know your required schedule so it is not too risky to book so far ahead.

BA is not our preference either. George doesn’t like the business class seating. Question—since we are in Tulsa, if flying BA , we would have to fly AA to somewhere to connect to the BA flight. Do you know if those flights would open up at 355 days too? If not, it wouldn’t work for us. I do have a Chase card.
Planning on using Finnair for this trip. We have never flown their international business class, and the seats look weird, but they usually have availability with AA miles.

No, I do not think the AA flights open until 330 days if I recall correctly. My guess is you would need to buy an AA ticket to like DFW and then book the BA flight using points at the 355 day point. I suppose another option would be to fly to Chicago and take BA from there. I do not recall if BA flyies from Chicago.
AA releasing seats so late does make it a challenge. I still use AA from time to time as I used it a lot in my working life and have been a platinum flyer for decades. One of the things I did back in the late 1970's was buy a lifetime Admirals club membership for something like 350 or 400 so have gotten my monies worth from that purchase.
I have read good thinks about Finnair so that seems like a good idea. Playing the mileage game is a challenge. Good luck.
