Jan and I are taking a serious look at this 12 day Rivera Miami to Miami cruise and wonder if anyone else might be interested. We really enjoy cruising over the holidays and hope others do to.

Well since writing this I just received today a new Oceania brochure. And what to my surprise appeared was a 10 day cruise Miami to Miami 01/04/22 to 01/14/22 that follows. I think we are seriously looking at a back to back cruise here!!!

Sorry Jim, the only time I can see being on Oceania is for my own burial at sea. We and scubadiver are both on your original suggestion of 17 December Splendour for 20 nights.

I agree Marc. Oceania only seems cheaper until the last morning when you pay your final bill, and you still won't have had the same experiences & Benefits as RSSC. We're on the Dec 17 Splendor cruise as well.

I totally agree Marc! Although I don't think I would even want to be on it for my burial at sea!!

We took an Oceania cruise up the Amazon a few years ago & it was wonderful! The food was even better than Regent & we got lots of shipboard credit to use as we wished. There was no big bill at the end & we would definitely cruise with them again.

I agree with Sue. We have been on 4 Oceania cruises and thoroughly enjoyed every one. Would do it again in a minute, dead or alive. I don’t recall being shocked or surprised by the bill but it’s really just the difference between “ pay as you go” versus pre-paying for drinks etc as on Regent. Not a deal- breaker for us. In our case, it wasn't sticker shock - we had a bargain priced premium drink package, and did not take very many paid excursions. On our cruise, we just did not think the food was so great, the service and friendliness of the crew did not even come close to Regent's, and we hated having to present our key card every time we wanted a drink (reminded us of the old days on Regent when we had to sign for everything!).

We can enjoy Oceania ,just not as much as Regent or Silversea. But it has it’s place. You just have to accept that it is not going to be less expensive, once you upgrade to your usual level, it is fine.

Ended up going with Regent SPENDOR 12/17/21 to 01/06/22 Miami to Miami. Just to difficult to play Oceania's game to try and figure out what it would actually cost us.

Jim:
The excursions are up for St. John's. However, the choices are pretty slim.
