This is what we understand from the latest policies on booking shore excursions.
Regent: Concierge Categories and above – Shorex open to book 365 days prior to sailing Non-Concierge Categories (and guests with less than 21 nights or no SSS status) – Shorex open to book 300 days prior to sailing Seven Seas Society Silver status (21+ nights) and above - Shorex open to book 365 days prior to sailing, regardless of category
Oceania: All categories/all past guest levels: Shorex now open @ 365 prior to sailing.
We will send out an email informing all our clients of the new changes

That is fantastic! All the excursions seem to be in the system; but the email of "all" excursions only produced excursions for first leg. Still, a lot of reading to do.

Thanks, Ngaire. Regent updated my account on rssc.com to reflect the changes to excursion booking dates. However, all my booked cruises show an excursion booking date which is 300 days before the cruise instead of 365 days due to my society status.
Is anyone else experiencing this bug?

Dave, mine showed 4 August 2020 as booking date. I took it as date new system was established but now that I calculate it is 300 days before cruise.

Same "problem" for me too. My 4/7/2022 departure shows shore excursion booking date of 6/11/2021 --- 300 days instead of 365.

I was booking shore excursions for the Grand Arctic and, after 1 1/2 hours of work, the connection failed and everything was lost so I had to start over. Probably need to do a "check out" periodically to save what I have.

Jim, were you able to get a PDF of excursions for whole itinerary? When I asked for all excursions to be sent to me the pdf only covered first leg of the trip.

Now shows excursions available to book 365 days in advance; was a temporary problem.

Marc, I didn't get a PDF this time. On some cruises they provide one, but they should do it regularly.

Marc - Request them segment by segment and I think you will get them. Same thing happened to me on our Grand Voyage schedule for the spring, so I had to do the same.

Cindy, thanks!
Jim, do we have a special event somewhere along the way? Certainly nothing exciting when we are in Southampton; I was hoping for a trip to Wimbledon just as we had to Australian Open during our last Grand Voyage.
I see that Regent has pretty much gone away from included excursions. Almost all free excursions have an accompanying Small Group (SG) excursion with exact same itinerary and length of time. I guess each day a different group could be classified as PT Barnum's "suckers" as sometimes it won't be worth the money whilst other times you may regret being in the "larger" group.
You pays your money and takes your chances.

I'm not aware of any special events. I'm guessing they are holding back on scheduling any because if the cruise is cancelled they won't get refunded for the event. Hopefully closer to the voyage something will pop up.
A lot of the accompanying SG excursions cost very little ($25 - $50) and we get a 15% discount so I'm using my lots of SBC to cover them.

Dont you mean 25% discount? Yes, we will probably take advantage of some of them; maybe can switch onboard when we have a better idea of the difference but book the SG now.
thanks,
Marc

You're right Marc, plus we get one free SG per cruise segment, value up to $250.00, so we try to get one of those each segment.

Marc You may want to check what the small group really is. Last year in the Baltic/Norway, we took several SG tours. That meant that we were crammed into a small bus/van with less room that on the larger buses. If the tour did not have a lot of travel time, the small group was nice. Otherwise, we decided that it was a degraded experience. With social distancing, maybe things have changed

Mike, thanks! With the current situation we had to cancel our wonderful trip to USA National Parks and Alberta and BC; someday we will get there. Say hi to Linda for us.

Has anyone been successful in booking excursions? Between a very slow site, and excursions already being sold out 300 days in advance with no waitlist, I have booked only one out of 71 port days, and that took close to 30 minutes.

Marc, I’ve booked a few excursions on our July, Copenhagen to Stockholm cruise. I just booked another excursion and it took a minute or two from the time I added the excursion to the cart until the time checkout completed.

Dave, thanks. My delays have been primarily in moving between excursions and the selection of the actual excursion. I might have hit website at a bad time.
edited to add: PDF for emailing not available for third through sixth segments even though they are all within 365 days. Grand Voyage shows waitlist in almost all categories yet the individual segments are wide open. My personal "confidence" that the Navigator will sail next May has dropped from 95% to about 80%; things are so screwed up.
I guess I shouldn't have spoken up; now all my cruises and past cruises have been removed from my account page at rssc.com.

Got excursions for first two segments booked. After the heads up from Jim, I would checkout every 45 minutes so that we wouldn't lose anything due to timeout. Design of Regent site is real bad; it seems to me that either a lot of data (maybe the full list of every excursion in all 71 ports) is being downloaded for each entry or that every keystroke is being added to a very large database because the delay between when I click on the box by each of our names until the checkmark shows up is probably close to a minute. I restarted machine and cleared cache so it shouldn't be anything on my end unless it is a safari issue.
Once I get the pdfs for the remainder of the segments we will tackle the rest of the trip. I hope all of this effort is not in vain.

I have had the same issues trying to sign up for excursions starting with the roll-out of the "new" website - it is so frustrating! We were on a cruise in Europe when the excursions opened up for our WC, and after spending hours, I lost everything! I finally had to contact Linda to help me - I thought maybe it was just the ships WiFi. But then the same thing happened when I was signing up for excursion for our March 2021 voyage (which probably won't happen anyway). I stayed up and started the process as soon as they open at 11:00pm CT - slow as molasses! It was probably 3:00am before I got them all done (about 35 excursions). But I did learn from previous experiences to checkout about 3 or 4 excursions to be sure they were saved.
This has definitely been a problem for a while - lots of people post about it on the Regent Facebook site.

It is not a network (packets back and forth) or memory issue; it is a cpu issue involved with the rendering of the webpages. I cannot figure how clicking on an excursion takes 100% of my cpu resources and still takes around 30 seconds for the page to render. That it takes 30 seconds for a check mark to show up also doesn't make sense. I am not seeing lots of packets go back and forth just cpu utilization. If this has been around for months, you would think someone would have fixed it, or don't roll out earlier excursion booking until you have it fixed.

Marc, Have you tried a different browser? A few months ago Firefox wouldn't work with the RSSC site but Edge would. Now it's just the opposite and Firefox works fairly well if you "check out" periodically.
