Navigator (ETA 30 March) and Mariner (ETA 4 April) are enroute Honolulu. Explorer still in Nassau, Splendour in San Diego, and Voyager in Abu Dhabi. Still plenty of time for each ship to reach its currently published next cruise. Hopefully they cancel a couple of the cruises soon (e.g., Callao to Miami on Navigator) that just don't make sense. No reason to do them all at once.
Cindy, welcome home; I guess Jim and Pat are the only LCTers still to return.

Confirmation from crew member on Mariner that they will arrive Honolulu on April 4 and all crew will be sent home and will be laid off until at least July.. Such a devastating blow to those who had contracts with Regent - how will they support their families back home? And they have no idea what will happen in the future...

July is fine; as long as Mariner is in Vancouver on 23 September for us to board I will be a happy camper.

Not officially Ron, but it seems possible with the way things are going. I think Regent only officially suspended cruises thru April 11, but many of the crew currently left on the ships are getting off and going home the first week of April, so it seems unlikely Regent would be able to resume operations April 11. They may bring crew back in waves depending on how things go, but I think they are just warning the crew that they may not have a new contract until July.

Confirmation from crew that the Mariner is in Honolulu today - getting supplies and fuel. They are also eating well! Eating up the stores and they are preparing items for them from the guest menus. This is a photo FROM the Mariner (not of the Mariner)

Cindy thank you so much for posting these shots. Happy to see the staff ARE eating well. They are safe from the virus, and being fed like guests and getting 50% of their pay. That makes my day.

They certainly deserve it! And they are enjoying the grub!
My source says he has a ticket home for April 16. The ship is scheduled to arrive LA on April 10. Please everyone - pray that LA lets them off the ship so they can go home!!

Got another post from a friend on board the Mariner. They had a deck BBQ for the crew. For those of you who do Facebook, here is link to Hendra's full post, which includes some more photos. Mariner Crew BBQOnce they reach Los Angeles on April 10, they are hoping to be able to leave the ship. Many of them already have their tickets, so let's pray they all are able to join their families back home very soon.

Cindy, if you had a cruise on Mariner to Alaska on June 24, you wouldn't packing for that cruise, would you? Actually, from Alaska to Canada, getting off on July1.

Pam - I don't think I would be planning on a cruise this summer, but you never know. IF I had one scheduled this summer, I would have Regent just send our World Cruise luggage from Australia straight to the ship!! Most of us that disembarked in Perth on March 16 still have not received our luggage - last reports was that it was still sitting in Perth. We would have gotten it faster if they had left it on the ship as it would be in Los Angeles now! Of course, with the world situation the way it is, I am being patient it about it. Just hope I see it someday! Thought I would share a couple of posts I put on Facebook about the Mariner's progress for those that might be interested...

Cindy, thanks for the reports; do you know anything about Navigator crew? Could Mariner just sail to Philippines with remaining crew?

Marc - I was told that many of the Filipino crew from the Mariner were able to disembark on April 14 and 15. Not sure how many are left. A lot the remaining crew, even if their countries would allow them back in, are not able to get flights due to airport closures and restrictions. But some of their countries are completely closed, even to returning citizens.
I haven't heard any update on the Navigator, but I will ask.
I suspect Mariner would want to stay close to the west coast just in case they are able to resume their Alaska season this summer.

Marc - I just heard from one of the crew that had been on the Splendor, was moved to the Mariner, and now has been moved to Navigator. Reportedly they are trying to assemble all the European crew on the Navigator with the intent of heading across the Atlantic to the Mediterranean. I guess this would put them much closer to home when they are able to fly and the Navigator was scheduled to be in northern Europe in July and August anyway. We shall see what happens!

Cindy, thanks. Regatta, Joy, and Jewel also with the three Regent ships. Navigator has only 245 guest cabins so really can't take that much extra crew. I see that Navigator heading to Punarenas, Costa Rica with arrival on the 30th.

Would think that the Mariner would go to asian ports with more crew and then be in the Pacific area for Alaska in late summer and the Navigator to go to Europe that would have fewer crew for those ports and be positioned for East coast cruises in fall which it has done before. Expect they may keep Splendor on West coast so it could take a cruise to east thru Panama Canal in late Summer.
HR would have their hands full figuring all this out.

Still lots of Filipino and Asian crew on board. I hope Regent will consider cruising across the Pacific to take them home!

I logged in and booked our specialty dining, you know, just in case; there are six of us and I didn't want to get shut out. You know, just in case. Luckily, I had everybody's booking numbers.
I am resigned to it not sailing, and looking to see what we want to do in place of it, whenever we can.

Here is the new NCLH 8-K filing detailing all their cost saving moves along with status of bookings: http://archive.fast-edgar.com//20200427/AA2ZOG2CZ22EWZZ2222T2ZE8FS49ZZ22NA22/Looks like major deferral of ship maintenance. And this probably most telling: The majority of ships in the Company’s fleet are currently transitioning to cold layup. Emphasis added. Reading the report I feel a lot more confident that NCLH will survive; I don't know why, it just seems like they have a plan that might work. Marc

With everything going on with Regent does anyone know when the rest of the 2022 cruise schedule will be coming out? We are already booked up of 2021 and have a cruise booked for 2022. We would like to see the rest of the 2022 schedule before we decide what cruises to use our FCC on or take a cash refund. Carolyn

I was previously told probably July, but that was before the current shutdown. Who knows if the release of the new schedules will be affected by the current crisis or not.

Federal Maritime Commission to study COVID-19 Impact on Cruising; here is the "order;" https://www2.fmc.gov/readingroom/docs/FFno30/ffno30_ord.pdf/They are looking for passenger participation in the study; I think our own Mother Superior should ask to participate. Marc
