Just thought this might be a good time to remind those that do not take advantage of the offer from NCL that this is a good time to buy this stock as it is down so low right now.

Buy 100 shares of NCLH stock and receive Shipboard credit on your cruises.

$250 Onboard Credit per Stateroom on Sailings of 15 Days or More.
$100 Onboard Credit per Stateroom on Sailings of 7 to 14 Days.
$50 Onboard Credit per Stateroom on Sailings of 6 Days or Less.

Ngaire, the restrictions say that the shipboard credit from the stock is not combinable with any other offer. What does “any other offer“ mean? For example, do nonrefundable credits from KLT or Seven Seas Society credits fall under “any other offer?“

Usually the Shareholders Shipboard Credit is combinable with all the normal offers. There may be some sort of unique offer that they will not honor and they are covering their bases with that statement but personally never seen it declined. That said I would not qualify because i have a reduced rate, charters would not qualify.

From an actual invoice that had the following credits, with a KLT Group and the Stockholder SBC was combinable with all of those credits and offers.

Early Booking (24,899.00)
Bonus Discount (4,000.00)
Seven Seas Society Savings (300.00)
Onboard Savings (300.00)
NONUSE LAND PKG CREDIT (750.00)
Air Credit (6,000.00)
Cruise Fare Total $13,549.00

Promotional Amenities Guests Per Person Total
SIGNATURE COLLECTION 1, 2 $200.00 $400.00
SHAREHOLDER SHIPBOARD CREDIT BENEFIT 1, 2 $125.00 $250.00

EDITING to say that this is for REGENT only and I do not know the parameters of NCL Cruises or Oceania Cruises those cruise lines may have different criteria.

I was planning on buying stock at $30 but now more inclined to wait to find out if NCLH has a plan to generate enough cash to service their debt. This new plan to delay final payment (but say nothing about penalty period) indicates, to me, that they are still searching for solutions. It would be nice if they updated their website on their coronavirus response..

Marc, You should have bought in when the IPO first came out. Even with the virus stock market drop I'm still up 27%. Cruise line stocks went up Friday.

It is a good stock and this is a good buying opportunity. I cannot get the SBC but have bought and sold NCLH quite a lot over the years and done very well with it.

We bought our 100 shares and were able to meet the deadline to have the SBC applied to the next leg of our current cruise. Thanks for the tip Ngaire.

Bought NCLH at $27 yesterday; alas, cancelled Explorer so first time to use it will be on TOTEM. I figure $300 SBC per year is like a 10% dividend.

How many shares do you have to buy to get the $300 SBC?

Sue,

You have to buy a minimum of 100 shares.

Marc, SBC is for every booking, not limited to an annual amount. The amount varies by the length of the cruise as Ngaire posted.

Can you apply the SBC to an existing reservation if you buy this week?

Yes you just have to send in the form and the proof of purchase of 100 shares 15 days before sailing.

I wonder if this benefit will be one of the "cost cutting" initiatives that NCLH institutes once they start cruising again.

NCL - 1.55 billion borrowed.

Not sure what you paid when you bought it Karen but in my humble opinion I think it will be a good investment.

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH) has tapped into two credit facilities, according to SEC filings, providing $875 million maturing on January 2024, and $675 million maturing March 4, 2021.
The company operates the Norwegian, Oceania and Regent brands.

NCLH said that beginning on March 12, 2020, it has borrowed the full amount of $1.55 billion.

NCLH stated that it has borrowed a precautionary measure in order to increase its cash position and facilitate financial flexibility in light of the current uncertainty in global markets resulting from the COVID-19 outbreak.
The proceeds from the borrowings are currently being held on NCLC’s balance sheet and will be used for working capital, general corporate or other purposes permitted by the facilities.

Stock is at $8.80, and I just bought 200 shares. Even if I only needed 100 to get the SBC benefit, what the hell...it could go back up to the $65 it was priced at not so long ago!

I ended up getting it at $8.50 a share. LCT will soon be the majority stock holders wink
