Hi
Really could not figure out where else to put this.

Regent Seven Seas Navigator 15 nights New York City to Miami 11/04/19 to 11/19/19

Bing and Carol Cherry have been signed up for this cruise for along time and Jan and I just could not let this happen with out us.
Moment notice but contacted Clay and he got us Penthouse - B cabin number 1007 on this almost sold out cruise.
Doing our own air and hotel in NYC for November 2nd. so hurried up and got our round trip BIL - NYC, MIA - BIL flights booked on Delta, and Hilton Garden Inn
hotel on 48th & 8th in NYC as well as Hilton Garden Inn both going and returning in Billings on the 1st and 19th.
Now to book excursions and dinner reservations aboard the ship, and a play in NYC for November 3rd.
It has been wild around here today!! LOL

Yesterday we ordered tickets for Jersey Boys for the 2:00 matinee on Sunday November 3rd.
The theater is .04 miles from our Hilton Garden Inn Hotel which is great.

Carol has already been to Jersey Boys so I don't know what their plans are.
They are staying at the Edison Hotel which is only .04 miles from our hotel.

Oh and without knowing it until after Jan and I booked our flights that the 4 of us are on the same
flights from Billings to NYC and also from Miami back to Billings.
They are staying at a different hotel in Billings from us, but that is great news.

Jersey Boys is such a fun show! We saw it back in 2007 on Broadway and in 2010 in Las Vegas. It is now playing off-broadway in the Hells Kitchen neighborhood.

Just one block over on 49th St is Becco, which is famous chef Lydia Bastianich’s restaurant. They have wonderful homemade pasta at reasonable (for NYC) prices. Also on that same block is a bar/cabaret called Don’t Tell Mama which you might enjoy for a post theater drink? Have fun!

Becco is my very favorite restaurant in NYC. We have to go there every trip. Funny that Helen and I like the same thing! Imagine that! Haha.

Loved Jersey Boys. I was singing the songs in my head for weeks after.

Sorry Jim just looked and realized my typo: Becco and Don’t Tell Mama are on 46th St not 49th.

What a mess.
Clay forward me a notice from Regent that everyone on our cruise would be required to have a yellow fever shot or show that you have had one.
Jan and I had ours on November 20th, 2006 before our Amazon cruise on the Mariner.
Course since ours was over 10 years old we both think we discarded the information. Jan called Riverstone Health in Billings this morning and left a message
to see if it would be possible to get another copy verifying we had shots.
Now on Cruise Critic there is a lot of conversation about this which makes it more confusing.
Why do you need it? How far back is the one you have good for?
Personally I hope Regent responds and clarifies what is going on.
I'm afraid that Jan and I may have to make a special trip, 150 miles, to Billings and get another shot which will not make me very happy.

UPDATE:

Never mind. Clay just sent a update. The Yellow Fever requirement is not for this sailing!!
It is for cruises that had made stops in Brazil.

Jim, Don't worry about your lost Yellow Fever shot cards, the shot is only good for 10 years. We always keep our shots current just in case it's "suddenly required". It happened once on Regent that during a long cruise they said the shots were needed and it cost $300.00 for those who didn't have a card.

Jim, a single yellow fever vaccination is now valid for life and a booster shot is no longer necessary. WHO modified its regulations to this effect as of July 11, 2016. It said: “Thus, from 11 July 2016 the certificate of vaccination against yellow fever is valid for the life of the person vaccinated. This lifetime validity applies automatically to all existing and new certificates, beginning 10 days after the date of vaccination. Accordingly, as of 11 July 2016, revaccination or a booster dose of yellow fever vaccine will not be required for international travellers as a condition of entry into a State Party, regardless of the date that their international certificate of vaccination was initially issued.” (WHO Document)

Looks like we are ready to go.
Made reservations for Carol, Bing, Jan, and me at Becco Restaurant for 7 pm Sunday November 3rd.
Even have airport shuttle from LGA to our hotel made. Bing did theirs and we should be on the same shuttle
since we arrive on the same plane from MSP and their hotel is .04 of a mile from ours.
Worry about getting to the ship later. Currently do not have information other than Manhattan pier.

Likely you are leaving from the cruise terminal at 55th St. and 12 th Ave. Easy taxi ride from your hotel. Enjoy the City and your cruise.

Just about packed and ready to drive the 150 miles to Billings.

Jim and Jan, know you’re are excited to get back on a cruise! Peggy Wolf and I get off as you get on. Unfortunately much earlier in the day. Wish I could welcome you and take you to your cabin and have lunch but I’ll be kicked off at 9am and flight not until 3! We take our Iicks as we get them.

Have a wonderful time! Your weather will be better than ours I’m sure! We sure enjoyed Bermuda though. GM Davor is aboard. He’s great!

So what happened to Jim B? Was looking forward to some sea mail! Hope this doesn't mean problems with the cruise! Please give us a report when you can!

Oh no. The cruise has been great. Being able to send emails not so great.
Really really slow if able to get on at all..
Just happened to catch it right now. Just getting ready to pull out of Santa Marta Columbia any moment
and headed for Miami. Two sea days coming up.

Think Regent should take a serious look and take Santa Marta, Columbia off their ports of call.
Not very clean, but the big problem is traffic is terrible and it can take a long time to go just a few blocks.
