Ken and I plan on escorting a new voyage that is about to be announced. I did send out a flyer that it might happen but now I know it is happening. Doing this post in case you missed the flyer.
This all came up at an event Silversea hosted. They were considering doing what I have always wanted and never understood why they did not do it. . A trip to Antarctica that only included South Georgia and Antarctica. Usually expeditions add 3 - 4 days in the Falklands. These are expensive cruises and although the Falklands are good it just increases the cost so much and the jewels are South Georgia and Antarctica. Whether to do this or not was being discussed and I shared that I thought it was a fantastic idea. It may or may not happen again.
A trip to Antarctica without South Georgia usually means people have to go back to see South Georgia. To me South Georgia it is the JEWEL of the trip. This is where you see the KING penguins the larger species you will not see in Antarctica.
They are doing this trip on the SILVER CLOUD. The ship has been refurbished and has a reinforced hull and is super luxury onboard. When onboard I could not wrap my head around the fact it was an expedition ship. Plus new zodiacs that I think will be a huge improvement in ride and ease of getting on and off.
Dates will most likely be January 4 to 19, 2020. Perfect time frame for this trip for weather and Penguins.
PERFECT TIME, PERFECT SHIP, PERFECT ITINERARY, ESCORTED ENHANCED KLT REWARD. IF YOU ARE EVER GOING TO DO ANTARCTICA THIS IS THE TIME.
If one of you wants to go and the other is not thrilled with the expedition aspect this ship is so nice a person could stay onboard in luxury and just enjoy the scenery from the ship. You can both be happy. .
I already have a waitlist of over 40 people but thought I would post this here. Julie in my office is handling this in my absence. If you want on the wAitlist just get in touch with her and she needs to know what category you want. She will assign the best cabin available. We will book the second it opens.
I think this will sell fast once announced and price will increase pretty quickly for any remaining cabins.

Marcie, Sign up already basically started.
We are making a list and will book immediately when it opens for sale. Then we will send you the Silversea invoice. You will have the option period of seven days before you have to deposit. Everyone will need to see pricing first before deciding. These cruises are expensive.
If anyone is even thinking about it get on the list and we will hold a cabin. If you do not go that is not a problem at all. On waitlists like this often people change their mind. Better that than deciding to go later and all the prime cabins are gone.

Yes, Ngaire Mark confirmed today that they are building the package for Silver Cloud Expedition voyage 1001 based on your request. Mark told me the voyage should be listed for booking next week on the the SS site. New 15 day Antarctica voyage is now posted on the Silversea home page, but believe they have incorrectly priced the voyage keeping the same prices as the previous ten day voyage. Tho, would love to be wrong. https://www.silversea.com/destinations/antarctica-cruise/ushuaia-to-ushuaia-1001.html

We booked and at this terrific price point (the 15 days presently priced the same as the 10 day USH to Ushuaia (w/o South Georgia Islands). Know Rachel & George are booked too. Glad we will get to see the Falklands (Hopefully) next month on the Mariner.

Just stepped off the plane that was obviously an error. I got an email from Silversea that the website will be updating at midnight.

I just had to book this one too - amazing price on a Vista Suite even with the single supplement!

Absolutely agree Andrea, we are getting a 15 day Antarctica voyage that is priced the same as the ten day Ushuaia to Ushuaia voyages. Our TA just confirmed our booking with our deposit--vista fare (with Venetian savings) was $10,260
Props/shout out to Ngaire for suggesting this change to Mark Conroy and making this 15 day Antarctica voyage happen.

We had all our bookings made as well with that incorrect pricing showing. So sorry to say but I am pretty sure all invoices will be changing to the correct amount for that cruise.

Just FYI for everyone. I have 60 people deposited. I checked availability today. This is selling really fast.
Vistas WAITLISTED 24 x 2 people = 48 people - 24 cabins sold out Veranda sold 41 x 2 people = 82 people - 56 cabins - 14 left Mid ship sold 10 x 2 people = 20 people - 22 cabins - 12 left Total we know are sold 152 people Plus some of the big suites must be sold I did not ask about them
All this in one week from opening!!
They only take 200 people so when they hit 200 it shuts down. The ship can hold 254 people
