Brayden and I are also on NARWHAL. We depart for CPH on 8/7. We arrive CPH the evening of 8/8.

Really looking forward to this adventure. Expect it may be the last one that Brayden and I do together.

I have a strong view about this and will state it here again. If any of you have grandchildren do consider taking them on a cruise as it is a most rewarding experience for both of you. I first did it four years ago with Brayden and it has meant a great deal to both of us.

I so agree Ralph. We've done several 3 generation vacations including Club Med, Hawaii, a Disney Cruise and in July a Princess cruise to Alaska.

These are the times when lifelong memories are made.

Amen, Ralph and Marcie. I have a huge family (6 brothers and sisters, all with their own kids/grandkids) We have done cruise to Alaska, bus trip thru Ireland, Disney cruise and RCCL Allure of the Seas with ALL of us. I get so much joy from hearing the kids talk about it all later and thru out the years. Those conversations that start with "Remember when we went to...." are priceless.

You are so right, Marcie.

Ralph, though not a cruise, my first trip out of the country was to Canada at the age of 10 with my grandparents. We drove from Baltimore to a surprise stop in Niagara Falls, Montreal (my first time seeing a dessert cart), Quebec and New York City on the drive home. What a fabulous experience for a 10 year old. My grandparents took all three of their grandchildren to Canada on the summer of our 10th birthdays. Then when I was 17, my grandfather took the three of us (my mom and aunt went too) on an American Express 3 week " If It's Tuesday It Must Be Belgium" bus trip in Europe. That was my first time in Europe. What an exciting trip that was.

After finding luxury cruising, my mom and I enjoyed many adventures on Regent ships (our favorite was The Song), then the rest of the family joined in and we had many family reunions all over Europe during the summers. The last cruise with my mom was celebrating her 88th birthday on the Voyager in Bordeaux. I guess my grandparents and parents were my travel mentors. They created a monster....... but I like it that way!!

Mark, You probably will see us in Nome. I assume it's a small airport and when we get off the plane we'll likely pass through the same departure lounge you are waiting in for the same plane back to Anchorage. If so, we'll have plenty of time to hang around and chat.

Better late than never! I will be flying to New York, spending a few days with Michael and then we'll be flying to Hamburg for a couple of days before joining QM2 on 18 August to Southampton and New York. Lots of sea days and I'm not sure what to expect with such a large ship - maybe a bit formal for me! I can always drag everyone down to my level!

If I hadn't been so scared of big monsters and not being able to breathe at such high places, we would have joined Beth and Crystal!

I had the best time on a Tauck Ireland land trip last month. What an exquisite country. Don't miss the Gael in Dublin.
