Lars and I have started to make our summer plans - we'll be cruising to Europe again, this time on Seabourn Odessey! We arrive in Lisbon on March 30 and plan to spend two days in Lisbon before picking up our leased car and driving through Spain and then eventually north through France and Germany.

If anyone has recommendations on Hotels, "must see" locations etc. We know you have great experiences to share so we want to ask the "experts"

PS: Your Stockholm guides should be available by early June....so if you're cruising in the Baltic, please let us show you our favorite city!!!

Our Seabourn Cruise Brochure arrived on Dec. 31....it's their "pre" document piece that outlines our upcoming cruise. A nice touch as we look forward to March 18th and our Odyssey crossing!

Margo; Miss Lynn and I are on the new Quest from Venice-FLL beginning 24 Oct. Maybe you and Lars could end your trip that way. Lots of fun folks will be aboard for the maiden crossing from Malaga.

Just learned that John Barron is our cruise director. I've heard so many good things about him from all of you, I can't wait to meet him!

Our voyage is almost done, but I want to say just a few words about our time on the Odyssey.

We always felt that they were very involved in the perfect cruise experience. At any time we expressed a wish or an area of concern it was address immediately.

We loved our cabin. Our only real suggestion for improvement is to do something about the small television which is suppose to be viewed from two locations, both too far from such a small screen. They may have to up the ante and install two sets because the area in the middle doesn't accommodate a large television.

The food and wine choices were great. We loved every bite and sip...in fact we over did on both counts but we have happy pounds to work off now!

The ship was full but never felt that way. There are so many private areas and of course we used our balcony as well.

Nice relaxing entertainment. We don't really care about big production shows etc, but the cruise staff and performers were all very good and we also had the chance to know them personally which is always fun on the smaller ships.

There seemed to be activities - trivia, bridge, lectures etc. Another guest expressed disappointment about not enough yoga/fitness classes, but we were sleeping in, so I can't respond to that one.

I know there are other things that you might want to know about. If you ask, I'll try to respond.

We loved our cruise and would take a crossing again!

Hi Margo,

Thank you for your report. Did you feel any vibration? I have read a lot about it on CC. That's one of the reasons we canceled a cruise we had booked on it last year.

We had no issue with vibration in our suite 521 - which we thought was a really great location, low, midship.

When we were traveling at top speed after the medical emergency I felt it in Seabourn Square which is aft on deck 8. But we were going about 20 kt.

I never heard anyone complain about it and as I said I really only noticed it at that very high speed.
