I'll have to bring some extra possum attire for flat Crystal...as long as she is careful. I have a wardrobe of socks, two sets of gloves, a hat and a scarf. My prince, Doug, has socks and gloves as do the rest of my lineage.

David, what makes you think that flat Crystal won't be able to talk? Anyone remember Chatty Cathy dolls?

So pleased that Brayden will have someone to
" Mess with".

I did have a good talk with Brayden's school principal today and he approved the trip for Brayden. Brayden will get some homework assignments to do while we cruise.

How I wish I could be there! You all will just have the BEST of times on this cruise! Best believe that whatever BK arranges, it will be GOOD.

Ralph, all Brayden's friends aboard this cruise will "help" him with the homework. Glad you can take him along!

It's so hard to say this, but after much consternation, we've decided to take our names off the roll call for Zodiak. We will be there in spirit and wish you all the most perfect cruise! What a great group - we truly hate to miss cruising with all of you!

Kathy, sorry to hear this, but DO keep it on your "bucket list" for another time! My experience for this itinerary was on the old Explorer 2, chartered by Regent. It had the smallest cabin I have ever had next to the single cabin (w/ no single supp) on AMA, and mediocre food compared to Regent along with rough seas both coming and going. However, it stands up there right on the top of
my list of most memorable cruises. I just loved it! Now that Silversea has added a ship with all the normal luxury enhancements, it could only get better!

we were so hoping to see you all again. Come to Asheville. It's not the ocean but pretty nice. Fodor's thinks so. We are one of the top places in the world to visit.

We have never been to Ashville either Kathy. Its not too far, maybe 6 hours or so from us. We keep talking about it and trying to work it in with a trip to Nashville or to the beach, buts its out of the way for all of those so we have just not done it. Sounds like we need to plan a specific trip there one of these days. I too hear its beautiful and especially the Biltomore Estate. (sorry everyone, not meaning to hijack the roll call, just making a comment).

I was out of the loop over the Easter weekend and just noticed that Silversea has renamed the PAII to the Silver Explorer... how interesting.

I wonder why? Didn't they just christen it a few years ago?

This was posted on wikipedia : Prince Albert II will be renamed Silver Explorer in late April 2011 in order to align with the fleet's other vessels which all have the word Silver in their name. Makes sense to me.

This is all I see on the Silversea site: Silversea’s purpose-built Silver Explorer expedition ship (formerly the Prince Albert II) ......

I did see that after I posted, it seems they are also paving the way for future exploration type ships with the Silver______ name.

From the B&K post of Facebook. All that snow looks wonderful as we go into our 4th month of 100+ degree weather in Texas. Only 5 months to go.

Great news Zodiac'ers. TURDLEY in on board the Navigator and will accompany me to Huntsville awaiting his next trip to Antartica for ZODIAC. (Peggy has graciously entrusted him to me for the Zodiac trip) For those of you who don't know or don't remember, Turdley is a little penguin who has been the LCT mascot on previous LCT Antartica trips. He is special becouse he poops pink (jelley beans) just like real penguins, but doesn't smell as bad. He is really looking forward to ZODIAC and meeting all of you!

Beth and Betty at Hyatt also, arriving on the 11th on Delta from ATL. We already have the names of a few places that supposedly have great steak.

As I've posted before, try El Marisol in Puerto Madero for a great steak and good price. Nice setting along the river, not a dive but upscale restaurant and probably only a $5.00 taxi ride. Last time we were 2 years ago there a meal for 2 with empenadas, salad, Bife de Chorizo (Like a NY strip) and a bottle of wine cost about $25.00. We'll be there again on Grand Prix.
