I found this map for New England foliage status; unfortunately I could not post here due to iframe restriction; so just hit the link. http://www.yankeefoliage.com/live-fall-foliage-map/ Maybe one of our Canadian friends can post a similar map for Quebec and the Maritime Provinces; of course, leaves might have peaked prior to Thanksgiving.

Our leaves are still green but are starting to show hints of turning yellow. NY should be in full foliage when you're here.

In the past, the "Weather Network" has included a fall foliage section as well as photographs sent in by viewers. Information seems to indicate that it won't start until late September. I'll post a link if I find one for the fall foliage site.

Not sure about peaks down east, but they should be well before your Thanksgiving, more like *our* Thanksgiving, which is second Monday of October.

Ray and I are leaving this Friday driving to Nova Scotia. We will be in Quebec City as well as Halifax ,returning around the 3rd-5th of October....I can post the leaf colour report if you think it will be helpful. We also are staying in Halifax for a couple of nights, mainly to drive down to Peggy's Cove, only an hour from the dock area. For Beer Drinkers here are some Breweries & Beers: http://www.drinkpropeller.ca/ http://www.keiths.ca/index.html http://moosehead.ca/home/ Great seafood on the wharf:Lobster rolls, Deep fried clams, Digby Scallops (large ocean/diver), Fresh Malpapec PEI Oysters(fantastic), Halibut fish and chips....We plan on a sea-food diet the whole time we are away. Have a wonderful trip, wish we were cruising.

We are in NY. Leaves still predominantly green, but starting to turn yellow already. I imagine further north, they have changed. October 10th colors normally in full bloom.
