Brad and I will be hosting a POOCH tournament on Saturday afternoon at 3 PM at the ALOFT. PRIZES! POOCH PINS! PRETZELS? Join us for a few games and still have time to get ready for the party at Ngaire and Ken's. Hi Leslie, It sounds like fun. My only problem is that I don't have a clue how the game is played.  Do you have a quick and dirty summary of the rules? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Leslie - count Frank and myself in. Frank will be focused on trying to get the BAMA - MISS St game, but it comes on around 6:00 Dallas time, so hopefully he can watch it while we are getting ready for the party in our room.

POOCH is very easy to learn. If you have played any kind of cards and are familiar with the concepts of tricks and trump then you will catch on right away.
We are working on a little sheet of directions which I can send anyone who wants to review it, but it really is easiest to either observe a game or just jump in.
Marc - if there's web cam at the ALOFT you can play too!

Dave, you will not just catch on you will probably WIN a game and learning time will be about two minutes. Pooch is bridge for dummies and bridge players get it instantly.

Yes, pls send directions even though it sounds like the game is easy to learn.
We are novice bridge players but seem to only play when cruising.

I'll e-mail you instructions Ray, but be aware that the game is a lot easier than it sounds in the instructions - you will catch on right away and we will provide coaching.
As far as the "venue" at the Aloft - I imagine the lounge/bar area will have tables that will accommodate us; we'll see how many people want to play on Saturday as far as how many tables we will have.
