Stars certainly was the "place" for nightlife on MINT! Was it Suzanne or Paige that lead us out of there in a conga line? Actually, as much as I love the Voyager Lounge, Stars is better for a group as large as ours, as it is bigger. Casino up that staircase instead of across the hall. We will be fine!

Golly! Ngaire, I wonder who it is???

The only person I can think of would be Eric, the former DJ from the Song. I saw him on MINT. But he helps out with the production shows not food. Other than that, hmmm, who knows??

Isn't it nice to remembered  ?!

Ahh! Now if only they would wake up and put a duo in Stars, as well as Horizon. That would finally fill the Voyager Lounge void. Maybe you can convince them to do that, Ngaire.

Whoever our dj was on 007, he/she did a good job, mixing oldies with newies, the dance floor was a busy place!!

Well, Suzanne, all I remember is hanging on to the person in front of me!! Perhaps it was Eric, and like you say, who knows?? Oh, we only remember you in the most positive ways. After all, your avatar says you are our "Cruise Social Hostess"! I would add extraordinaire to that, if there was room!

Doug, you may be right. There is that duo always in Voyager Lounge. Perhaps they will try it on Mariner when we descend upon them for this particular cruise. On MINT, I don't recall that we required live entertainment. Any kind of music was an excuse to dance.

Olivia,

I think it is Tom who always heads up the Conga Line. We do our best just to hang on and not get whip-lash! Boy, a 100 person Conga line on MUSH would go half way around the ship!

YES!!! It was the famous Tom Matassa! I just forgot, thinking you are the person who organizes everything. I will e-mail Marcie on the ship that we are planning a repeat!

I'm already starting to feel sorry for the non-MUSH people on this cruise. They aren't going to know what hit them!

Ok, Ngaire....thinking, thinking...

Could it be someone formerly from the Song via the Diamond??? Did he ply you with lamb chops at lunch on the Black Sea 'til you cried "Uncle"???

Need photo!!!

Ngaire; Could you check and see if they have a good supply of caffiene free diet Coke aboard. If they don't, please ask them to pick some up in Rio or BA. Thanks! I'll go thru a couple of cases myself during our 20 days aboard.

Could it possibly be Francisco??

That poor sweet thing I kept dragging onto the dance floor on DDD (but who finally said he'd either take vacation or take dance lessons to prepare himself for me in six months time on DABS)???

I was there on Black Sea Diamond, and only remember her dragging US up to the dance floor, Ngaire! Then again, maybe I went to bed. Yep, I bet it is Francisco. How Suzanne remembers these things I will never know.

Doug, last cruise on the Voyager, I was stocked with DCFree Coke. Worst stuff I have ever tasted! I am a DCFree Pepsi fan. If it is a corporate contract with Coke, I'm sure they'll have it for you.

Olivia,

I go back and forth -- sometimes I am a DCF Pepsi person and sometimes it's DCF Coke. They often have the wrong one on board - I get the Coke when I am in Pepsi mode and vice versa. Just ask!

The internet has been down so we have not been able to post almost all day yesterday. Still dont have time as we are now in Fortalazea and having to leave to go to a show.

I figured with the tip off of DDD and Black Sea you would remember who the surprise crew member was, he is so sweet.

Yes, it was a fun night in Stars. We will post more pictures that tell the whole story when we get back into town. Some I think I need approval for Tom or Marcie there are some doozies!! Suzanne there was a dancer here who really was very like you so Tom had his hands full.

Had a nice dinner with Martin the Hotel Director last night, the MOndae's, Matassa's and one other couple last night in Signatures. Then it was off to bed - the night before took it out of all of us.

Loving the poker each day and definitely will be doing this on MUSH. It will be a busy cruise but we will find time to fit it in during the day a few times.

Ngaire,

Be sure to give Francisco a hug from me, and maybe a quick turn around the dance floor!

He is such a good sport!

Ken will post some pictures below. It was a fun night last night starting in Signatures with the Matassa's, Mondaes, Paul and his friend Hans. Then we moved to the Brazilian night in Stars. They had it incredibly well decorated. Balloons everywhere, mixing Brazillian drinks and two "dance leaders" who are samba dancers and really got the place rocking. It was totally packed and a lot of fun. My little dancing shoes were tapping away all night. They did a great job. The team here really have their act together and do a wonderful job with the special functions. This is where they had the incredible Halloween night too - great creativity on the part of the staff. Then we went into town today and it is a large town, typical tourist stores. We saw a famous church and walked around but it was pretty hot. They have an elevator that takes you from the low town to the high town for the huge sum of 5 cents - about 2.5 cents US. Some pictures below. Tom and Marcie posed in some local wear and we will post that picture. Almost at an end for us only two nights left to go --- will be sad to leave.

More great reports and photos! Looks like you're all having a blast!

Ngaire, has shoulder dancing replaced pole dancing on this sailing? The photo is the best!

Last year, Tom grew a beard on the WC. Now he's sporting dreadlocks! I can't decide which makes you look more handsome, Tom! Love the dress, Marcie. Can you borrow it for formal night? :D

So we are leaving the ship in about 15 minutes to fly home. So sad to leave particularly when no one else is leaving. When I am planning my time and trips I really do look at how much I am away but it never seems to be such a good choice to leave early when I have to actually leave the ship and friends behind!!! However, I know that it was the right thing to do - duty calls.

Been a wonderful trip. The company was grea, so wonderful to see Marcie, Tom, Joanna and Tony and also meet Paul, and other clients I had not met before. Playing poker was such fun too and I loved that daily game.

The ship is operating so well. We will have such a good time on MUSH they know we are coming and are looking forward to a happy fun bunch of people. Captain Phillipe, Martin, Rogerio, Franck, Ajharn and the team are really fantastic at their jobs and made the trip wonderful.
