OK, so I've been sitting around here singing "It's not my PARTY and I'll cry if I want to..." for the past few days. I've even thought about super-imposing my photo over someone else's in one of those fun shots, ...

But, Now it is my turn (not to cry)!! I leave tommorrow morning and fly to Cabo San Lucas, overnight in a hotel close to the Marina, and then board the Voyager on Saturday morning!!

WOO HOO!!! My docs consist of a slip of paper I printed off of my computer. I will do my dance onboard. Margaritas by the hotel pool tomorrow evening then :nw: made it all happen, (oddly enough, thanks to Olivia's daughter cancelling out sometime ago). I have been told it is a one time exception, so I'm taking it and running...

Thanks for continuing the reports and the pictures!

We stayed at the Acapulco Princess for our honeymoon at the end of a cruise from SJ to Acapulco. It's great hotel, I'm glad it still looks good.

We are so very cheered up that Suzanne can join us. We have missed her very much.

Sadly, Acapulco also meant the ambulance squad got a workout again. Two of the crew members were injured; a broken foot for one and a shoulder injury for the other. I also heard there was another passenger alighting from an ambulance with a wrapped ankle.

We did a little shopping in the craft market (telltale sign: there are only gringos shopping there) and then came back for an early lunch with the group. Gary went along for the cliff divers while I enjoyed my nap. In mid-afternoon, we headed back to the beach & rented a wave runner ($30 for 1/2 hour and we probably could have paid a little less). The water was very warm and we enjoyed buzzing past Voyager and then circling around the bay.

We met Flo and Ron, who are on the world cruise, for drinks. They are a delightful couple and we'll pick up the conversation over lunch later today. Our dinner plans were changed around at the last minute. This turned out to be the perfect opportunity for a progressive dinner. First two courses in Signatures and then sample our summer pudding dessert back in Compass Rose. The guys down in Compass Rose did a wonderful job of hosting the eight of us. A+ for effort; unfortunately, the summer pudding served simply wasn't the summer pudding all of us remember. Oh well.

Early night last night for all of us. It's been bouncy tonight on the seas.

Cheers, Anne

I just noticed that Suzanne is joining you. That's great!

Thanks for keeping us informed. Too bad about all the accidents.

ODE TO SUZETTE

There once was a pretty girl named Suzette
She's funny, charming and everyone's pet

Once the music starts the great show begins
Get yourself a strong drink perhaps some gin?

Suzette the lovely pole dancer suddenly appears
This is after vino, sambuca and many many beers

So put on your seat belt and try and relax
You're in for a show performed by a class act!!!

It was a DOUBLE trivia win today, folks! Token count is now up to about 28. Tomorrow is Cabo and seeing Suzanne. cheer cheer cheer

Anne emailed and said they'll read it at her Birthday Party

It's my party, and I'll cry if I want to
Cry if I want to, cry if I want to
You would cry too if it happened to you

Birthdays are NOT for crying!!!! Joanna :woh:

Yesterday was a lazy day at sea. Lots of swells in the ocean so a lot of front-to-back motion. There are a group of boys probably 10-13 who loved the waves splashing out of the pool. It was body surfing for them at its finest. It was sizeable enough the pool was closed for a short period of time; it reopened when the sea was a little less bouncy.

The dolphin show was even better than off the coast of Costa Rica. We had several large schools of fish; only this time, several of them not only breached the water but also were spinning before they splashed back down.

We had drinks in the Horizon Lounge and then on to Compass Rose for dinner. Jan discovered lingonberries. We each got a taster portion with our appetizers. There was at least one convert ordering the Swedish pancakes this morning just to get another round of lingonberries. Ken was kind enough to spike my Gran Marnier soufflé with extra “sauce”. Yummmm.

Afterwards Arnold was on hand to make sure we didn’t get lost on the way to the Voyager Lounge. Steph was standing outside his office saying “here come the troublemakers”. He shook his finger affectionately at us and said “Just remember. I can post on the board, too!” Jan, Jim, Bing and Carol headed to the show; the rest of us made our way down the staircase. We ran into Ngaire, Ken, Mary, and Jack. Jack was in fine form; next thing I knew he & Gary were dancing around the atrium. The group gathered steam & headed into Voyager Lounge. It was a whole lot of fun (I’ll assume Ken will add the photos later).

Today it was unusually dark out when we got up at 8. I found Marty to wish him well as he was taking off for a fishing trip. We were eating breakfast in Compass Rose when Capt Dag came on over the loudspeaker to announce a matter of urgency. It turns out we failed to set the ship’s time back one hour, so it was actually 7 am. The good news is we have one extra hour in Cabo today. Every guy in the dining room then starts telling each other they KNEW something was screwed up. It was like a “flash mob” moment in life.

We’re going on the catamaran trip today. Russ & Debbie are going with Chetaun on the pirate ship. He was dutifully mixing up the cosmos for their trip. None of them have taken the “what’s your pirate name?” test. I will try to organize that when we all get back.

Today’s objective is to figure out a time for chips and guacamole between the tea time trivia and the welcome aboard Suzette party.

Cheers, Anne

Great picture of Jack! I'll download it and save it to rib him with when he gets home. Apparently, the new hip is working fine. Glad to see that he and Mary are getting with the group.
