Well the good times continue. We had a fun day yesterday at St. Helena island. We didn’t do an excursion but walked around the town on our own and really enjoyed ourselves. The locals were friendly and we learned that the population is actually decreasing with approximately 18 people leaving the island each month, mostly the young people (current population is around 3,000) and most of the residents are retired or semi-retired.
Last night we had a very nice dinner at Capt. Dag’s table with 3 other couples who are also good friends of ours. We all had lots of good laughs, especially when Capt. Dag started telling jokes. After dinner was Liar’s Club with Capt. Dag, Jamie, Frankie Holiday and Kenny Smiles as the panelists.
Our girls’ night out dinner a couple of nights ago was a HUGE success. Twelve of us went to one gal’s cabin and got ready with wigs, hats, feathers in the hair, glittery make-up….you name it. It was like a big “dress-up partyâ€. When we walked in Compass Rose we even got an applause. One of my friends, Joan, had decorated the table so beautifully.
