Hi all - well we are having a great time so far. Today we will arrive in Belize around noon. I'm quite impressed with Crystal so far - very nice ship, beautiful, lovely rooms, although smaller than RSSC, we are in a balcony room and its very nice with very nice amenities, Aveda products, duvets, pillow menu, refridg stocked with complimentary soft drinks and water. We brought our own wine, beer and gin onboard with no problem to use in our room with no problem. The food has been excellent, soft drinks are complimentary through out the ship, so thats a nice plus. We are at second seating, the first night was open, met our tablemates last night, fun group, three couples of us plus 2 ladies -- interesting small world story that one of the couples lives in Manhattan Beach, which is where I grew up and we lived until moving to VA in 1985, so it was fun talking about the old hometown. Great show last night, I've done well in the casino, and a really nice feature, when playing in the casino, drinks are complimentary (all drinks)they also come around with sweets and snacks in the evening in the casino and several of the bars. We've had fairly smooth sailing in general, a little rough the first day, but noting too bad. Staff is wonderful, our room stewardess is just a darling and like RSSC they make a point of learning your name and using it whenever they see you. Frank ran yesterday and liked running on the promenade, its was longer around and I hope to walk tomorrow. In general the decor of the ship is just beautiful, lots of wood and plush seating. The ship is all decorated for Christmas with a huge tree in the Atrium and wonderful decorations all over, it really feels like the holidays. I brought some Christmas CD's and have been playing them in the room. Internet rates are high, so will keep this short and sweet and try to post again later in the week.

Nancy - yes we did have the CC party and one of the other ladies there is having a birthday today as well, so we are going to Jade Garden with them tomorrow to celebrate. Tonight we will go just the two of us to Prego.
Had tableside prepared cesar salad last night, our tablemates did some special orders for tonight and we did for the 11th, Table Captain came by and did that last night - nice guy and so young!!
Didn't hit anything last night in Casino, so didn't stay long and am still way ahead, might skip tonight. Still having a great time - things going well in general. Frank and I were talking comparisons last night Crystal vs RSSC, overall, we prefer RSSC - but Crystal is a definite in our books.
Will post more in a couple of days.

JoAnn, so glad you're enjoying the cruise...wish I was there. While I've yet to go on RSSC, they are both great lines with different pros and cons. If you see Marsha and Judith, please give them a big hug from me. Thanks for posting.

Nancy
