Hi,
We are having a wonderful time. It's better than I remember it. Madeleine is having lots of fun too.
We got to New York and it was bitterly cold but out here in the Atlantic, it's in the 50's. We take M outside to play on the decks. They have slides and cars and balls. I was ready for a rough crossing but the water has been like glass! The Captain just drives around any storms.
Today we got up late, had breakfast and then went to hear the band playing at the pool deck (it's indoors). The band is fabulous, much better than last time. They're from the Carribean and play reggae, old school, pop and rock n' roll.
In the main ballroom, the guy, Michel Chartier, who sings like Harry Connick Jr., sings at night. I love his voice. The disco is right off the ballroom so we do a rumba or a foxtrot when Michel Chartier is singing and when he finishes his set we scoot over to the disco to dance to the band. We pop back and forth until 11:58pm when we turn into pumpkins (day care closes).
Last night we moved table and met some interesting new people in the restaurant. I had the goat cheese souffle, the sea bass and bananas foster. Chester had mushroom soup, ribeye and pecan pie. The food is really good in the main dining room.
The night before we that we went to the Chef's Galley for dinner. it's a demonstration kitchen that seats 16. It was an all Asian menu. Tonight we are going to the Chef's galley again for the Indian night.
We just took M to the Planetarium (it's an IMAX). She liked the first ten minutes and then we had to leave :)
We dropped her off at the Children's program. They have a ball pit there that she likes to launch herself into fifty times over :)
In the afternoons Chester and I read by the windows and contemplate life. It's very peaceful. Yesterday I saw a great question and answer with Sir John Humphries. He told lots of naughty anecdotes about interviewing Tony Blair, Margaret Thatcher et. al He will be hosting a Mastermind on Sunday.

I loved our QM2 crossing a couple of years ago.
What a great way to travel with your little one.

I loved tea time in the ballroom. What a gorgeous room!

Are you doing a R/T?
