Well almost my whole office has been sick with one thing or another. From flu type symptoms to colds. Ken got it right before we went to Peru and Ron had it too. To this point my resistance is strong good thing as I dont have time to be sick. I do seem to have great resistance and seldom catch the "crud".

Hello friends....reporting back from our second night out on "the ship"! We're still taking each day very slowly...in fact I turned in my ticket for the canopy tour - don't think I'm strong enought to do that yet, but we dressed for a formal night and went out for awhile.

After reading the Influenza A thread I'm pretty sure we have something else - more bronchial - no fever, but terrible coughs and uck in the throat. Whatever - it ought to be banned.

Again, the entire staff has been so wonderful about checking on us and making sure we have anything we need. It may not be the best place to be sick, but if you're sick, they try to make it the best place to recover.

Tomorrow we will be in Punatareans Costa Rica. Since I'm not touring I'll find out what the limited local scene has to offer. BTW...we had a cruise director change in LA...Steve Lewis and Mimi are now our CD and ACD - we met them this evening before dinner in the Navigator Lounge. They are both very charming and we hope to get to know them better.

Well....until tomorrow - hope EVERYONE is feeling better.

Margo, sorry you had to cancel your canopy trip....it was such fun on MINT! Glad you're feeling better. If you had to come down with this ICK, what better place to recuperate! Hopefully, you and Tom will be 100% soon!

Hi Margo!!
So sorry to hear that you and Tom have had to suffer the "Bug". Hope you are recovering quickly. Tell Tom that those Tahitiian girls are thinking of him! Wendy and I were sad to leave you in LA after such a superb cruise, made even better by having made wonderful new friends with you and Tom. Yes, those were very memorable dinners! We hope the remainder of your time on Navigator goes smoothly for you.
Our flight out of LAX was sheduled for midnight the day we left the ship. We had a full day around LA and checked in at 9pm. We were bussed out to the Jumbo just after midnight looking forward to a 14 hours 30 minutes flight to Hong Kong! Well, due to a "security holdup" we actually started engines just over 3 hours later, still in our seats! Luckily we were in business seats, upper deck. They then told us that, due to headwinds we could not get all the way to Hong Kong and would be landing in Taipei. So we had another hour in our seats at Taipei and then on to Hong Kong! Worked out at about 21 hours in the same seat not counting the check-in time! A record for us. We enjoyed our 2 day stop in Hong Kong, needed a rest! The joys of living all down here in Aussie!

Frank...what a trip! We were wondering how your trip to HK would go. I can't get Tom to fly to Europe...guess we won't be flying to Cairns anytime soon!

We miss both of you a lot! When we finally returned to the dining room after the "bug", John rushed over....he said "Did you leave the ship? Where have you been?" It was nice to be missed and as you can see, we still sail in Wendy's wake so to speak - I told them I'd say hello to both of you for them...Hello! You're missed by all of us.

Ps...using your internet time...just 30 minutes left - Thank you!

Margo.
If you get a chance would you please ask someone
which company Radisson uses for the Canopy tour in
Punatarears Costa Rica.
We are signed up for it on "PARTY" and just would like to know.

Hope you are better today.

MIMI is a wonderful person. She is a lot of fun. She always has something brillant to say. A girl that cute should not have such a great brain - not fair to put it all in one person!!!

Jim - Chiclet's was the canopy tour operator (if my memory is correct) in Puntarenas two years ago. It was grand! Cheers, Anne

Signing in one last time from the Navigator. It's been a wonderful cruise...even with our "colds" during week five. We've had a wonderful voyage and met many terrific people.

Last night we had dinner with Captain Romeo. We also had the chance to finally meet Perry and Carolyn - what a treat! It was such a perfect dinner at the end of a long cruise.

Today there were many goodbyes and sad feeling, but we are anxious to go home and prepare for Christmas. A week from today I'll be making dinner for 22 - oh if only Silke was in my kitchen!

I can't remember a cruise with more perfect weather at each port...on some sea days we had a little rain and some rough water, but not enough to make us uncomfortable. Altogether Mother Nature was generous. If only we could have avoided the plague...but then again life is wonderful and when you're, sick room service is a better than fending for ones self at home!

Jim..I think Anne is correct...we saw the Chiclet transports for the tours so they are still using them. Bon Voyage on Party. We met someone onboard that will be seeing the King Tut exhibit tomorrow in FLL...it seems like ages ago that I saw it in LA...the times does fly.

Farewell to and from the Navigator...and as Dorothy would say...there's no place like home....so off we go!

I wish you an easy return to a normal life, Margo. The hardest part is getting over the lack of room service, I think!!

Thanks for your reports. It was lovely to meet you and Tom last month.

Welcome Home, Margo and Tom. It was a joy to meet you in person, even if we all got Limo-itis.
Thank you for all your posts from on board. I look forward to hearing about the last weeks of your cruise.

In today's Ventura County Star, the Cruise Columnist, David Loe, posted about the excursion in Christmas Island. If you want me to post a link and look it up for you, I will be happy to do that. He was the one on the cruise from Port Hueneme and is a RSSC devotee. He takes a group on the Mariner to Alaska from Port Hueneme each year.

So great to have finally met you, Margo. We were so disappointed that Tom was unable to join us.

Hope we get to meet again sometime very, very soon!

Welcome home, Margo and Tom. Your seamail is always a delightful start to my day. Thank you for taking the time to share your cruise with us. Good luck on your dinner for 22. At least you will be rested (as long as you shove the luggage away and don't unpack!).

Welcome home, Margo and Tom!! I feel fortunate that we got to meet Tom given that everybody at MIMOSA wasn't able to meet him. :)

Thank you all for the warm welcome home!

Donna, you're right...I'd like to hide that luggage somewhere for a week or so!

The "day after cruise" blue are here but I don't have much time for that....6 week worth of mail sitting here and an endless To Do List make that a luxury I don't have time for...just as well!

Will try to catch up the the everyone soon -just to sit at my computer and surf is also a luxury!

Welcome home Margo and Tom!!! Hope you are both feeling better by now and are ready to tackel that big Christmas dinner you have planned.

Thanks for all your fun posts from both cruises - made me feel like I was right there with you - although I did miss the posts during the week of Dec 6-14 when we were on the Symphony. Internet rates on Crystal were ridiculously high - $15.00 for 30 minutes and you had to use it all in one session!!! They need to look at packages where you can buy so many hours for so much and you can use them until they are gone! Anyway - this is about your cruise - so again welcome home and thanks for taking us all along with you!

Margo, welcome home! It was great to finally meet you on Mimosa, even though you were a bit far up the table from me. I have so enjoyed all your sea mails, felt like I was enjoying the "ride" until you got sick. Hope you both are on the mend, and that you'll be ready for the challenge of Christmas dinner for 22. Where next?
