I noticed an interesting set of posts on Cruise Critic from JackfromWA. He's on a HKG-ATH cruise on the Nautica and his posts are very entertaining. His favorite ships are Regent's Mariner and Voyager and he discusses some interesting comparisons between Regent and Oceania. I also thought that Del Rio from Oceania had a pretty impressive response to some criticisms Jack raised. CC Posts

Yes, great thread over there. We leave for Nautica in 60 days and the thread has really added to my anticipation. We did book a Penthouse, so the cabin size will be comparable to a Regent Cabin with butler - that make the Orange Juice issue non existent. I feel a doc dance coming up shortly! (oh, wait...that's for the HAL cruise to Vancouver)

Yes, it was a good installment!

I hope that he bought a new container of baby powder! That he would even post his dilemma is hysterical.

The other interest, of course, for me is that my friends and I knew Frank Bank who welcomed us at his home pretty routinely. We were about 7 and big Leave It to Beaver fans. My friend Marla and I were chatting about it this morning (lol) after the post.

You're right, that he would even post about it , but the visuals generated by the details had me howling!

I am enjoying Jack's thread, too. Filled with interesting port and ship information and hysterical side stories. It was very nice of FDR to pay Jack's internet fees. FDR sounds like a good guy.

It is always nice to read someone else's opinion of a ship you have sailed on. I concur with Jack's opinions and if you look at his list of 10
changes he would make, they aren't all such serious ones. He certainly makes the reading worth the time and I do think Mr. Del Rio reading the boards and responding is interesting. Not many CEO's would take the time.

I agree about FDR - Its one thing to respond to a letter or an email but over the top when they actually read the boards and get engaged.

Really fun reading. esp. the talcum powder post....
