I cried when I saw this. You can also donate phonecards to the troops so they can call home during the holidays. I heard about this on Sean Hannity. Here's the info: http://www.defenselink.mil/releases/2004/nr20040423-0646.html Also, FF miles can be donated to help the families of hospitalized soldiers with their travel needs. A summary of the airlines and the foundations can be found at http://www.heromiles.org

Wow, at the end of a very hectic day with so much less important matters, this one really hit me, too, and the tears came streaming. Lawrence, thanks for the phone card link.

I just sent the link to my girlfriend Julie. Her husband just left Sunday, after a 2 week leave. He had been gone a year so it was really nice to see him but I just wish he could of been home for Christmas.

Sending care packages is another way of saluting our military personnel and here are several web sites that may be helpful: http://www.geocities.com/militarycarepackage/ https://www.treatsfortroops.com/foster/index.php I recently read in our local newspaper where an excercise group sent packages to the leader's son-in-law and he wrote back saying that while he really appreciated their thoughtfulness, he suggested they send futures to the Green Space Hospital where military, civilian contractors and Iraqi children are hospitalized. That sounds really neat but I am going to have to find a way to do it. When one sends individual packages, you need a name and address so if you have a friend or relative currently receiving a package you might ask that person for a name and address of an acquaintance who may have a need. Good luck! Cheers! Ray

Original link is down. The originator of the video has it posted on his own web site. Find it here: http://www.gcsdistributing.com/UntilThenA.htm Warning - the videos are very popular apparently - response time is VERY slow and it may take a while to download. Be patient - the video is worth it. Masaki

Joanna - if Tony and you just want to watch it yourselves, it's saved in your internet cache - so as long as you don't clear your temporary documents/cache (either in Internet Explorer or by using a utility such as Norton), it'll stay there and it should load instantly in the future (it is for me now). If you're asking how to save it to send it to somebody, I don't think that it's possible - it's a Flash file which was designed to be a secure way of delivering video/audio files on a web page. It's possible with 3rd party software but on a standard setup, you won't be able to save it. If I'm wrong about this, I'd sure like to know about a way to save this myself. If you're interested in this 3rd party software, let me know and I can dig up some names for you.
