I don't think it's Latin. It looks alot like it, but not quite. Silly of them to post this. This company obviously needs a much better web programming and design team!

Marc,

That is really funny; like Wendy, I question that it's Latin. The only Latin word I recognized is dolor which means sorrow and why would that be in there? "blarncommy?" sounds like a bit of "blarney" to me!

Well, for 2007 I will be Platnium, whatever THAT means. Maybe Gold for 2006, depending on the levels. None of the upgrades work for us either. So this could be a bunch of nothing. And the London Eye shore side event will be a miss for us too.

How are you guys telling what tier level you're in? They all say, "21-74" nights?

I know it is not latin.

If we trust Silver to be 21-74, then Gold has to start at 75.

Platinum probably doesn't start until 200-300+.

The "latin" is the typesetting jibberish put in so gauge page layouts...BUT dolor, in addition to Sorrow, also means PAIN which is what the whole process is, LOL!!

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends ~~M. Angelou~~

Maybe they'll have it wrong like Princess. They have us at 10+ cruises. I've never been on Princess and Frank did ONE 14 day cruise with them years ago.

How INCREDIBLY lame! Apparently the story that the repetitive delays in announcing the benefits so they could get them just right wasn’t shared with the PR department. It is so embarrassing to see our favorite cruise line look like idiots in posting partial details and unfinished web pages. I expect the truth is that these pages weren’t supposed to be on-line yet (or you’d have to assume that they think this is attractive?!?). How inept.

Now I'm curious what counts as nights sailed....does the cruise need to be completed or just paid in full (thinking of SA cruise, paid in full with no insurance or cancellation option). Oh well, it will be what it will be.

I called Omaha. Letters will be going out to us on 28 December. He didn't know when website would be updated.

As Scott said, not very professional. Reminds me of an old boss who always seemed to be wearing a sign on his back saying "kick me."

Here, though, I think of this as an advanced peek into the plan. If they didn't update until end of year, we would know no more than we do now; maybe even less. It is totally unprofessional and should never have happened and, when it did happen, shouldn't be staying on so long. This is what beta sites are for.

By the way, does Radisson ever invite their customers to try out their beta site?

Oh, I forgot, Radisson doesn't have a beta site.

We've all been eagerly awaiting the new tier program. It has been very frustrating speculating for so many months on what that program will be, when the program will go into effect, and how each of us will benefit. The program remains a work in progress. Hopefully, the tier program will be unveiled soon, in a clear and concise manner.

After such a build-up of anticipation and expectations, I hope Radisson/Regent will present a program worthy of it's loyal following.

Could they have at least come up with a different term than Member. Do you really want to be addressed as Goldmember? I mean, Gold Member?

How about Silver Preferred, or Gold Elite, or Platinum Cruiser?

Marcie, not anymore. Singles are finally treated as equals. Although I was really surprised to find that Arlene has a separate membership number than me.

Someone must have been lurking; they sort of fixed the problem. Look carefully at "Member News." There is a short paragraph there. Then, click the link and read the whole blurb.

They are different!!!!

The "new" one paragraph intro indicates APRIL 2006!!!

It sure would be nice to learn what the tiers are and the benefits for each level prior to the end of the month.

Do we know anyone onboard now?

Lauri and Neville, you board Saturday, can you find out the scoop and post?

I have to put my 2 cents in to this forum. If Radisson decides to wait until after the 2006 WC to start their tier program, I think that is a slap in the face to all their loyal passengers who have supported them in the past. To me, that is NOT good customer relations, but an insult.Sorry I have to say this about what I thought was such a wonderful cruise line but, if true, this is a BIG disappointment after the promises we were told in the past.

Livetocruz:

Why should it matter whether it is before or after the world cruise? After all, we will all get the benefits based on our days. The world cruise pax still got the previous sss benefits (multiple 5% discounts) on this upcoming sailing.

I am not belittling your complaint. I think we all think this is a public relations blunder. However, it is hard to say it is an insult.

Marc, I am sorry that you disagree with me but we were told originally that the tier program would start the beginning of 2006. Why shouldn't the people who have had over 300 days on world cruises get some benefits for their loyalty? It is ok for them to raise their internet prices but not show appreciation for those who were there when they needed us.Sorry if I sound annoyed, but I am disappointed in the way that Radisson seems to be handling this.

Latest: the half-finished "Member Benefits" item is now blank. As Marc pointed out, there is mention of introducing the program in April 2006...but if you click through it it still says "fully launched in the fall and will be in place for 2006."

If there is, in fact, a lurker then I'd hope they'd take back the message that the way they've handled this role-out (way over 12 months by the newly promised realease date) has been a PR disaster, especially with their most loyal cruisers. This isn't rocket science...what could possibly be taking so long? They could have built a new ship in less time!

I understand your point. If there is to be free internet, they promised it for 2006....all of 2006 INCLUDING the world cruise. Very valid point. I guess that is also true for the South American passengers in Jan and Feb and Caribbean pax (like my father) in Jan and Feb.

The sooner the better, for sure. I just don't think they are delaying this so as to not give world cruisers the benefits. After all, you are their best customers.

Sorry if my tone came across wrong. After all, I suffer from Messsage-board-itis. ;)

It all remains to be seen insofar as what the program will include and when the roll-out will take place.

After all the information is in place and made public, we all then have the option of cruising with Radisson/Regent or taking our cruising business elsewhere if that unhappy with the program and benefits rewarded. While it's only fair to reward loyalty, Radisson/Regent will do what they will, whenever they choose to do so, regardless of public opinion. That is, until it equates to revenue lost to other cruiselines wooing those who have "jumped ship." Our voices are heard not only through this forum, but through our cruising dollars.

You got someone in India calling Radisson? Not Omaha? Or Ft Lauderdale when calling about air?

Denise, so well said.

I think we should all call Radisson and voice are displeasure. They all seem to be nice people in Omaha. Maybe, if they had to address a couple of hundred calls all on the same subject they would ask for help from Ft Lauderdale.

I'm with Joanna. I haven't a clue as to what hvsteve1 said. Sorry!

Before we make calls and voice our displeasure, I really feel the opportunity must be given for the complete program picture to unfold. Do any of us know what the entire program is? In order to voice displeasure, you need all the facts. Right now we have a lot of questions unanswered. No sense in getting angered until we know what we're totally upset over.

Just my two cents, Marc.

Denise, not displeasure at the program; rather, displeasure at how slow the program is being announced. They took away our 5% starting at end of May promising us the new program by the summer. Then it became the fall; now, who knows. I do believe they will send out letters 28 December as I was told on phone today. I believe that, at least, until I am told something else.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. Personally, and at this stage of the game, I'd like to wait and see what the program has to offer and then make a call or write a letter citing my issues entirely. I have no problem airing my views to them once all is supposedly said and done.

This has been and continues to be a terribly slow and uncommunicative work in progress. It's no way to win people over. You can see the displeasure simply by reading all the posts stating how interested people are in booking SS and Oceania.

I am convinced that Radisson's competitors have placed a mole in high places at the company. That mole's charge: (1)alienate as many Radisson regulars as you can while you (2) produce a much cheaper new rewards program that all of us can easily beat.

RE: my post.

I'm just passing on a news release I got through a Google news alert. It is kind of technical but what it basically says is Carlson is buying this newfangled computer program designed to crush all sorts of data regarding their busines...i.e. trolling the Radisson database to figure out who has cruised how many days. People seemed to be questioning RSSC's ability to put together this information. Sorry if it seemed so complicated, but I didn't write it.
