I'm new member Katie and I live in Laguna Woods, CA (previously known as Leisure World). I'm a very young 65, retired management consultant, married to a wonderful gentleman who doesn't prefers to stay home with his grown kids and golf a lot. I on the other hand would like to travel every chance I get. Although I've traveled to many places, I've only been on one cruise so far (Oceania, Amazon River, SA and Caribbean. I love to meet new people and experience different cultures, arts, and food.
I'm not too familiar with message boards--this one in particular. I can't seem to find the forum that deals with finding a cruilsemate. So please excuse this one time if I've posted it inappropriately, and I request anyone's help in getting it to the right spot:
I'm looking for a cabinmate for the Sep 18 Navigator sailing (21 days) to Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Russia, Greece, Egypt, Malta and Italy. It sounds wonderful, and it includes air, unlimited shore excursions, and a %500 shipboard credit.
I don't smoke and I have a drink or two socially.
I like to read, am outgoing, and folks say I have a good sense of humor.

Welcome to LCT. I don't know of anyplace to find a cruisemate. Years ago, even the cruise lines did it, but I suspect that there were too many people who didn't get along and then were stuck with each other and that is why they discontinued.
Even though I cannot help you, we are a friendly bunch and there is a lot of information available on this board.

Welcome Katie from a fellow O.C.er. I have a friend who use to operate a website to try to hook cabin mates up together. I'll email him as I'm not sure if he still operates that site or not. ?

Hi Katie!
Welcome to LCT. We are also scheduled for the September 18 Navigator sailing. We are only staying on for the first leg - as far as Athens - but are looking forward to seeing the Black Sea cities and culture. We've nicknamed it the "CHAMPAGNE" cruise. Our intrepid fellow sailors last year on the Black Sea itinerary nicknamed their sailing "CAVIAR". It seems only fitting ...

Welcome to LCT Katie. Sorry can't help you with a cruise mate. My husband won't cruise (has no idea what he's missing) but I've been lucky enough to rope my son in for some wonderful adventures over the last few years. Good luck with your search. Lee
