Michael Johnson (Jersey City, NJ) , son of Lee & Brian Johnson of Sydney, Australia currently has his dad visiting him and Michael emailed Kathy & myself to line up a dinner with us since we had previously cruised together. So, it turned out to be an awesome Aussie dinner and Michael, thanks for thinking of us! We look forward to a longer return visit and this time with Lee too. http://ray-penny.smugmug.com/Vacation/LCT-Gatherings/LCT-Cleveland/12437098_gGibv#890395993_rGXbQ (Click on larger photo on right and it becomes larger and then you should be able to navigate as quickly as you like by using you right arrow key). Looks like everyone had a good time. Too bad Lee couldn't make it, but she will be in the US in a few months pre-cruise. Great city pics!

Yes - it's a shame the only person who matters couldn't be there!

Am I ever ready for the arrival of y'all - but is Sydney?
Is that a 'Nanna Nap' you're referring to Betty? It's now 11am on Thursday - I'm so far ahead of you guys, it's amazing!
Kathy - So glad you managed to enjoy the night without me being there. After my next trip in August, it will be your turn to visit me - no excuses!

Lee, your city is so beautiful, I can imagine it will be very difficult steering visitors toward what to do! We got an extra day there back in '05 because of a storm, only time I've ever been. What a city to explore! I have to say my favorite (suggested by a niece who studied there) was taking that board walk between Bondi Beach and the next town. There was the T Zoo, the botanical gardens, the craziness around the harbour, a great lunch and dinner with Marcie and Joannapv and spouses.........I never even got inside the Opera House, but we had a great sail in for good pictures from outside. My scheduled "Bridge Climb" through Regent was canceled for lack of interest. Oh, to return someday!

What great pictures, Ray Thanks so much for sharing! Was great to see Kathy and Al too. Aren't these little mini LCT reunions on land fun? So wonderful to have LCT friends all around the world. Cleveland is one of my favorite places, too.

Arlene & Marc: Cleveland is a nice city and we enjoy it here, except maybe for some of the winters and that's when we like to cruise or visit cruising friends on the west coast.
Suzie, Marilyn, Lee & Lynn...next time!
Cheers! Ray & Penny

Olivia - Although I have nothing to do with how lovely Sydney is, it's good to hear such nice things said about it. Visitors are always welcome. Hope you can return one day.
Ray - hope I get to see Cleveland one day, especially in the company you mention.
I've been trying to figure out what to suggest to the LCTers whom I am lucky enough to be able to see in November. I haven't been on that boardwalk - shall have to suss it out. I haven't done the bridge climb either as I hate heights, but have been up into one of the pylons which is a good alternative. You didn't miss much by not seeing the interior of the Opera House - its a little disappointing.
