Hi Ray - I went to your Smugmug page and copied the links. Your original images are loading into Smugmug in a very small size for some reason. Not sure how big the photos are from your camera, but, they are uploading to SM small and so when you link them here - they are small in the original format. It also means that if you want to make any prints larger than 4x6 you won't be happy with image quality.
What software are you using for your images from the camera to the computer?

Ray wanted help with sizing photos hosted at SmugMug. His always come out small here. Smugmug setting for his account don't allow for larger images is what I think is happening. These images from Smugmug of his are on Large size - but show up here small anyway. In his backend of smugmug - called Control Panel - he either has a setting to display small - or the image itself is uploaded small to begin with. This is how big the image should be able to be shown from Smugmug to BB software - if the smugmug settings are right. Thanks too for the personal emails covering this subject.
Of course I have no problem with my photos posted to Smugmug because I wait to get home to do that and they are all large size.
Since I now understand the situation, I am at ease. I have been working on a Blog and I believe it is going to reduce number of pixels once I upload photos to the cloud, so am sure they won't be any benefit copy-wise for anyone interested in a particular photo. Nothing adverse happens to the originals fortunately.
Now, on to the next challenge ;)

I like the format better on smugmug but it's what ever you like best! Did you look at Ray's smugmug acct. To see how you view the pictures? That is what I like best about it.

So Smugmug charges a fee ? I never print photos off my computer, I order them on line at local Walgreen for pick up about an hour later. It's convenient not waiting a few days for them to be delivered. Maybe I'll have to experiment with Smugmug, though I have always been happy with Picassa too.

Marcie - your photos printed via SmugMug compared to Walgreen will be 100% better- paper is better, color is better. Day and Night
